Latest News

The Project Team have now completed three trans national project meetings. The first of these was face-to-face and held at the University of Hull in the UK. We just manged to get in the second meeting (Brussels, Belgium) before Covid-19 made international travel too difficult.

The third trans national project meeting, was due to take place in Hämeenlinna, Finland but was transferred to an online space, however it worked really well using a mixture of online activities and breakout rooms.

The fourth project meeting is due to be held in March 2021, hosted by our project partners at the UCLL in Leuven, Belgium... it's looking like this might also be online ... but keep your fingers crossed we can get there!

Upcoming Events

Focus Groups:
The purpose of the focus groups is to engage with teacher educators and map out their previous knowledge and interests regarding global competence education. This will foreground the rest of the activity, help us raise awareness with Teacher Educators for the need of Global Competence in initial teacher education programmes and give us a platform to support teacher educators as they develop their own Global Competence.

If you think you should be part of these focus groups, we'd love to hear from you! To get involved, you can contact the project lead - see bottom of page for details.

Flexible Training Programme:
We are just about to begin designing the flexible training programme that will support trainee teachers as they learn to embed global competence education into their daily practice.
